If you are terminally ill, this is critical information you need to read immediately:

Say the prayer of salvation (below):

Note -This prayer covers being sorry for everything we have ever done that is wrong and telling God we are sorry and want forgiveness.

Specifically:  (1) we are all sinners because we were born enemies of God and are all under the curse caused by Adam & Eve, (2) all sin must be punished because God is a just God, (3) Jesus already bore the punishment for our sin through His death on the cross, and (4) we respond to this good news by accepting and trusting that Jesus was who He said He was—the Savior of the World.

God loves us and doesn’t want anyone to perish.  He forgives ALL sin.

Remember that God is real.  We know this because God rose Jesus from the dead—and because there were over 500 eyewitnesses who saw him afterward, we know the resurrection is absolute proof that Jesus was the true Son of God.

The one and only way to Heaven is to embrace the truth of the resurrection and to follow Jesus as the Savior of the world.  His blood was the prepayment to a just God for the sins of the world.

Saying the prayer of salvation SAVES YOU because saying it tells God you believe what the Bible says about Jesus prepaying your debt!  He loves you and will show you mercy when you stand before Him.

Words of hope can help bring you peace as you leave this world:

Allow someone to share God’s truth with you – to be sure you understand what God’s truth is while you are still here.

Know that the person giving you this critical information loves you, and is motivated to speak to you under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

You are at the point that you need to make a decision about what you believe, and hopefully your situation compels you to receive the only information that will save you and assure you of a place in Heaven for all of eternity.

This information is precious to most people, and is of the utmost importance in your life right now.

Follow the instruction to be saved:

1/ Say the Prayer of Salvation – don’t delay.  Do it today if possible.

2/ Tell others you did this so that they can be assured of seeing you again one day.  Knowing you did this will provide hope for your family and friends for both your salvation and theirs.

3/ Remember that God loves you, and He will never leave you. Ask Him to forgive you of your sin and then trust in Him for salvation.  He has promised eternal life to those who trust and believe in Him with all of their heart!  He will be with you as you depart this world.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving me.  I know I have failed you in so many ways, and I’m truly sorry for the sins in my life.  I believe that You love me so much that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins, to take the punishment I deserve.  And right now I’m trusting not in my good works but in what Jesus did to save me from my sins.  Thank You for forgiving me, and help me to spend my final days following You.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

If you prayed this prayer and meant it from the bottom of your heart, God has forgiven you!

Prayer for you from family members and friends

If family members want to pray for you, here is a suggestion:

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for Your love.  Please cover ________ with your hedge of protection and give him/her peace about what is happening.  Remind all of us of the good times we shared and the special memories we created together.  We need you to help bring us comfort and strength right now.  You are holy and compassionate.  Do not let _______ be parted from you but by your glorious power give him/her light, joy, and peace in Heaven where you live and reign forever and ever.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Final words of encouragement

All believers will be reunited in Heaven – our time apart is only temporary.

Encourage loved ones to be true believers by embracing Jesus as their Savior – God wants no one to perish, and it’s no accident that you are reading this information – God is calling you, and He is a loving and merciful God to those who ask Him for forgiveness.

If God asks you “why should I let you into Heaven,” the right answer is “I have trusted in Jesus and Jesus alone for the forgiveness of my sins.” (It has nothing to do with being a good person.  You are saved by faith alone, through God’s mercy).

Remember, Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6 (NIV)
