Statistic on Death
The amazing statistic on death: 1 out of 1 will eventually die!
Where do you want to live after you die?
This website will help you think about where you want to live and what preparations need to be made to get there.
When you take your last breath on earth, you immediately take your first breath in Heaven!
Be assured—if you are a Christian, you have a supernatural CERTAINTY of living in Heaven!*
Become Heavenly-minded and you will look forward to God’s promises of eternal rewards that are waiting for you, a faithful servant of the Lord!
God’s word is our only source of Hope
Psalm 119 confirms that God’s word is our only source of hope, and Colossians 3 tells us to set our hearts and minds on the things above—in other words, set your heart and mind on Heaven!
There are rewards in Heaven for how we choose to live here on earth.
If there were no rewards in Heaven, no one would be motivated to do anything about their last days on earth. We should also be concerned about the coming judgment. If you are a Christian and have chosen to live by God’s word, do not fear the coming judgment. If you do not know God’s word, please make an attempt to study the Bible so that you have the important information you need for how to live in today’s culture and what you need to know to go to Heaven when you die.
What do we know about Heaven?
- Heaven is the dwelling place of God. It is a supernatural realm--another dimension where God and angels exist.
- Heaven’s location is “up” – it is a city where the best things you’ve experienced here on earth are just a glimpse of what Heaven will be.
- You will be given a new body. It will be an upgraded version of YOU.
- The Bible refers to many rooms in many mansions, and God preparing a place for you. This suggests you will have everything you need in Heaven.
- Heaven will exceed your dreams. You will be reunited with loved ones who died in faith, and you will be in the presence of Jesus--your advocate before God.
- Heaven is a real place! And it’s paradise!
Are you headed there?
You can be a citizen of Heaven if you love God, love all people, have forgiveness in your heart, and long for restoration of lost relationships. This happens when you accept God’s greatest gift to you—Jesus, who paid your debt!
The Gospel has a message for all who will die one day (1 out of 1!)
The basic message is this: if you have ever told even one lie, you are a sinner in God’s eyes. All people have sinned and need to be saved. God, in His great wisdom and mercy, sent us the cure to our sin problem when He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us, to have a teaching ministry that would lead to salvation for all, to understand that God is the King of the Universe for all people, and that we must follow His Son to gain entrance into Heaven. During Jesus’ 3 year ministry, the people were divided. Many loved Jesus, said He spoke with authority and were amazed by His teachings. But many also felt hatred, which consumed them, and resulted in Jesus’ death. Accepting Jesus and His teachings is the acceptance that one is a sinner and needs a Savior. Many people don’t believe they need a Savior because they believe they can stand before God on their own goodness. This is not true. They do not understand that the standard by which they will be measured is the perfection of Jesus, not their lives in comparison to other people. We will all be compared to Jesus, and by that standard we all fall short. Because of this fact, we must accept the gift of God’s son, Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of our sins and entrance into Heaven. When we do this, we allow Jesus to pay our debt for us.
- Do you know the gospel message? God asks us to cast aside anger, lies, dirty language, sexual immorality, etc. in favor of seeking to know God’s desires for our lives.
- In putting aside our own desires, we are able to seek God. We do the following as Christians:
o Read His word in the Bible
o Spend time memorizing key scripture verses
o Become familiar with both God’s commands and His promises
o Forgive those who have hurt you
o Love the Lord with all of your heart and soul (Mark 12:30-31)
Think Heaven every day!
Think about Heaven constantly, and learn through scripture that God loves every single person on this earth. He uses many avenues to reach us. Be alert! Look for God and ask for His guidance in everything you do. Be thankful for everything you have. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only thing that saves you.
Have an awareness that life on earth is short
Enjoy your life. Do the things on your “bucket list.” But know that you also need something greater than the world has to offer—you need a Savior so that you can rest assured that your eternal life is secure. As you read God’s word in the Bible, you will realize the strong desire to be obedient, which means you now have a powerful, new affection for God and His Son Jesus. Your heart will be stirred and strengthened by God’s word. Think about Him often and put Him first in your life. Constantly seek Heaven by setting your heart and your mind on things “above.” In doing so, you will have a new inner disposition and a new peace in your life.
The Bible warns us about sin, so we must cast it aside
We cast sin aside so that we can live lives of joy, peace, and happiness. Sin is very pleasurable (for a time) but we cannot continue to engage in it if we want to go to Heaven. Everyone would choose Heaven and not Hell for their eternal home. To be Heavenly-minded means to cast sin aside and focus on Heaven.
Things that keep us earthbound rather than Heavenly-minded:
- Sexual sin – television, the Internet, and the culture have all normalized sexual sin by condoning it. The Bible warns us and tells us that sex outside of God’s natural order will destroy lives. Sexual sin is any sexual activity outside of marriage between 1 man and 1 woman. Engaging regularly in sexual sin only adds fuel to the fire—it eventually becomes out of control.
- Idols – an idol is anyone or anything that replaces God in your life. It is the sin of wanting more and more (money, greed, power).
- Malicious behavior – this ranges from using dirty language to wanting revenge. It also includes slander, rage, and gossip. Don’t engage with an angry or violent person. Don’t destroy a person’s reputation through gossip or slander. Cut some slack to people on the road to avoid road rage incidents. We all know what malicious behavior looks like.
- Lying – contradicting truth or twisting/inflating truth is the same as deception. God hates lying because its origin is Satan and the outcome usually results in Satan’s plan of division among people and families.
God is a God of love as well as a God of justice
God loves everyone, and wants what is best for you. He is a forgiving and merciful God. He wants you to be as much like His Son, Jesus Christ as you can be. He wants you to live as blamelessly as possible.
God wants you to come to Him. He does not want to lose anyone to their own desires. This is why He is a God of justice. He does not bring everyone into Heaven. Free will, if not used appropriately, can keep you from entering Heaven. Only those seeking to know and love God and His Son Jesus will enter Heaven (John 14:6).
Get this resolved in your life!
Because God sent Jesus 2,000 years ago to pay your debt, you need to accept Jesus in your life if you want to go to Heaven. Hell is a place of darkness and loneliness. No one wants to go there. There are no parties there as some would have you believe. You will be alone and won’t even know who else is there.
Let Jesus save you!
He is only a prayer away—ask Him to come into your life. Say this prayer:
“Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me. I know that I am a sinner. I thank Jesus for laying down his life for me. I want to receive the hope of Heaven—I turn now from my sin. I know you are the Savior of the world who rose from the dead. I am truly sorry for everything I have done that is wrong. Please forgive me and please come into my life as my God, my Lord, my teacher, and my friend. I choose to follow you from this day forward. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
If you prayed this prayer and sincerely meant it, you have said “YES” to God’s free gift to you. Embrace the brevity of this life and get excited about the beauty of the next life!
