Our Youth Should Celebrate Life
Truth for Life Radio Program

Excerpts from a June 2022 Broadcast
The Bible tells us that life is to be enjoyed and celebrated!
We do this through all phases of life, but most especially when we are young.
Our belief in God allows us to enjoy life versus simply enduring it. There will be times when we are in pain or are suffering, and simply put we should allow ourselves the freedom to reach goals, follow our hearts, and be happy despite the challenges in life.
When we are young, we make goals for ourselves. We should also take advantage of our physical capacity because we know our bodies will age. The body ages and then the aches and pains of everyday use disrupt our ability to do some things. The one lesson we have all learned is that we should enjoy our youthful years while we have them.
For teens that are carefree, enjoy life in your youth! For teens that are stressed, enjoy life in your youth! Your problems certainly are not trivial and they may very well be temporary. But seek the help you need and consider that God’s instructions for living could help your situation.
As Christians, we follow God’s framework and parameters about life--our youth should seek to do the same to gain wisdom
Wisdom imparts knowledge. Listen to your Creator and your shepherd, because He has the authority and finality in this world, not the culture. His word is found in the Bible and what is written there is timeless and undeniable.
· Enjoy the days of your youth and have it in all of its fullness.
· Experience all the opportunities and freedoms presented to you today, because life changes.
· In doing so, remember that temporal things cannot satisfy because we are eternal beings (i.e. we have eternity in our hearts from the time we are born).
· Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come (we will all have trouble in this life).
· Resist becoming self-sufficient – to know God will be your highest joy!
· Physical and mental capacities change as we age, and not everyone ages the same way.
· Don’t allow fear of death to paralyze you about God and life. A healthy fear of God helps us to understand that life is fragile and transient, but beautiful at the same time.
· Know God, love Him, and serve Him. We are called to do this as youths, and we should do it while we have the chance.
· Whatever your age, don’t die without thanking God and worshipping Him. It’s remarkable when you think of how long some people live—many well into their 80’s and 90’s. But others don’t have the same amount of time. So thank God today and start worshipping Him.
Today is the Day of Opportunity
Today is the day! Tomorrow is not promised. Will you do the following things today?
· Grow beyond your love of life. When we become young adults, we put away childish things and we focus on things that are eternal--because God created us as eternal beings. It’s time to think about where you will spend eternity.
· Thank God every day for your life. He has a wonderful future planned for those who follow Jesus and worship Him. Don’t live a pointless existence. Everything is brought into perspective with the wisdom and knowledge found when living under God’s guidelines.
· Don’t presume you have a long future. No one wants to go before their time, and because none of us know how long we have on this earth, we must remember our Creator NOW. Remember that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world—including yours.
· Give your life, your future, and your opportunities to God. Without God’s forgiveness and grace, we are foolish people. Unfortunately, Hell will be full of people who didn’t act in listening to God or including God in their lives. Fear God and keep His commandments!
