There is Freedom in Knowing Christ

When we understand God’s power and His will, we experience freedom in knowing Him and being ready for His return.  It can happen at any time.

Understanding God’s Will

We experience freedom when we understand our Creator and Father.  We do not yet see His will and His plan, but we know He became small and weak in the form of a newborn and helpless baby.  Likewise, God uses small things to accomplish His will and His intentions.  God gave all people dominion over the earth, and He gave Jesus dominion over us.  Jesus builds the church and uses us toward His will.

In Psalm 8:3-4, God’s work is glorified when He is mindful of us.  We are the focal points of His creation!  God created it all and we want to be on His side.  We do this by coming into a relationship with Him and knowing Him.

God is a Powerful God

Our faith in God should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.  God’s strength is most glorified through small and insignificant people.  God chooses the weak to shame the strong.  When this happens, God is glorified.

Psalm 139:17-18 tells us the sovereign King of the Universe has millions of thoughts for each of us.  Each life is important.  We can demonstrate strength even when we don’t have everything together in our lives.

God Asks Us to be Ready

After the death and resurrection of Jesus, He returned to Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father.  We know that Jesus will return one day to establish the fullness of His dominion and authority. He will judge the world and put to death all enemies of God.  Eden will be restored and we will reign with Him forever.

God’s Kingdom can only move forward when all nations hear the message of the gospel.

Ephesians 1:19-23 says God is above all power and dominion, now and forever.  We are the fullness of Jesus Christ and have been given a purpose—to partner with God to help make people ready for the return of Jesus.  Because when He returns, it will not be the same as when He first came (as our Savior).  He returns as our judge to make right all the wrongs.

We need to be ready when He returns.  Are YOU ready?
